Tamworth teams are prepared for a busy start to 2013

TAMWORTH Hockey Club's Ladies firsts and seconds geared up for the second half of their seasons on Saturday 5 January 2013.
They took part in an inter-club match to blow away the Christmas cobwebs.
Tamworth Hockey Ladies First and Second XI.
Tamworth Ladies First XI are currently sitting seventh in West Midlands Division Two.
They face a tough start to 2013 with games against Leek and Edgbaston.
Before that, they have a friendly against Beeston at Qems, this Saturday, starting at 12.30pm.
The Ladies seconds are currently sitting second in Staffordshire Women's Hockey League Division Two.
They are just one point behind leaders Lichfield, who they face in a top of the league clash this weekend.
The Ladies thirds start the second half of their season in fifth place in Staffs Division Three.
Their first league fixture of 2013 is away at Dudley this Saturday.
On the men's side, Tamworth firsts are currently sitting second from bottom in West Midlands Premier. They are five points above rivals Redditch who they face on Saturday away in their first league game of 2013. They will be seeking a vital win as they look to secure their place in the league for another season.
Tamworth Men's Second XI are hoping to be promoted back into West Midlands One as they sit just one point behind leaders Leamington at the top of West Midlands Division Two.
Tamworth face lowly Kidderminster at home (QEMS 2pm) on Saturday in a must win first league fixture of 2013.
Tamworth Men's Third XI are currently sixth in East Midlands Division One and face Leicester away this Saturday.
The Men's fourth team will continue to pick up as many wins as possible in 2013 as they see some encouraging youngsters looking to break through the ranks.
