Second team success with double promotion

Tamworth Hockey Club's men's and ladies second teams have both secured promotion in what has been a hugely successful season for the club's second string sides.
Tamworth Men's Seconds finished runners up in West Midlands Division Two which was enough to seal promotion to West Midlands Division One.
Meanwhile the Ladies Seconds were promoted as Champions of Staffordshire Division Two and will now play their hockey next season in Staffordshire Division One.
The ladies beat local rivals Lichfield to the top spot and will already be looking ahead to their next campaign in the tier up after remaining undefeated at home all season.
The Men's Seconds lost just three games all season and finished just three points behind champions Leamington whom they beat both home and away in sensational style. Tamworth's Simon Bowyer finished 4th leading goal scorer in the league after picking up 14 goals.
The whole of Tamworth Hockey Club would like to extend their congratulations to our Ladies and Men's Second teams for their success this season.
