Match Report | The ladies thirds secured promotion with an emphatic 9-2 win over Leek on Saturday. Tamworth went on the attack from the off creating a number of chances with Becky Busby and Ella Turner combining well down the right flank. Claire Miles opened the scoring followed by Kate Barton and Elaine Foxley to give the town side a 3-0 half time lead. Tamworth made a sluggish start to the second session giving the ball away cheaply which Leek capitalised scoring two goals early on, keeper Lisa Moore made a couple of important saves for the town side before Elaine Foxley got her second of the game, this seemed to settle Tamworth as they went onto dominate the rest of the half passing the ball around nicely. Becky Busby scored a second half hat-trick, Elaine Foxley also completed her hat-trick with Claire Miles scoring Tamworth‘s ninth. League and Team POM Becky Busby |
