Match Report | Tamworth hit top form on Saturday as they beat local rivals Lichfield 6-2 playing some scintillating hockey along the way. The town side started positively putting Lichfield under immediate pressure, Becky Busby was outstanding down the right flank as she first set up Elaine Foxley and then Di Milner to give the town a 2-0 lead, before timing her run to perfection as she deflected Bethan Gilberts cross into the goal. Claire Miles added a fourth before Tamworth conceded a goal to go into half time 4-1 up. Tamworth dominated the second half with the midfield controlling the play but disappointingly for the town their finishing let them down as too many strikes on goal were hit straight at the keeper. However the pressure finally paid off as Di Milner completed her hat trick, with her seventh goal in three games, in style with two brilliantly worked goals. Lichfield scored a second late on in the game. League and team POM Becky Busby
