The ladies thirds returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Uttoxeter. Tamworth made a good start dominating possession, Kate Barton and Bethan Gilbert had excellent games down the flanks for the town creating a number of openings. Di Milner scored twice to give the town a well-deserved lead before Uttoxeter hit back with a well taken short corner strike. In the second half the town side continued to press forward and only some excellent keeping from Uttoxeters goal keeper kept the score down, Di Milner set up Elaine Foxley with Tamworth’s third goal to seal the win. |
