The ladies thirds dropped their first points of the season with a disappointing performance against third placed Erdington on Saturday; as the town side had to come from behind twice to maintain their unbeaten record. Although Tamworth dominated possession they failed to create many clear cut chances and were punished for any mistakes made as Erdington capitalised on them scoring both their goals from Tamworth errors. To the towns credit they battled away and were indebted to goal keeper Janet Nash for a couple of vital saves at crucial times in the game. Di Milner scored both Tamworth goals the first following excellent play from Elaine Foxley and the second 10 minutes from time to secure a point. Kate Caddick had an outstanding game and was voted team POM with Claire Miles getting the league POM vote. |
