Match Report |
The ladies winning streak continued as they beat a strong Bloxwich side 7-3 on Saturday. Bloxwich made the brighter start to the game putting the town side under pressure from the off and were rewarded with an early goal. As Tamworth settled they started to pass the ball around nicely and Claire Miles equalised from a short corner, Chris Mander gave the town the lead before Elaine Foxley scored a fine individual goal to see Tamworth go into the break 3-1 up. Tamworth stepped up a gear in the second half scoring three goals in an excellent 15 minute period of play, Lesley Broadway and Di Milner set up Alex Gayton who coolly slotted past the oncoming keeper, Di Milner scored Tamworth’s fifth before setting up Kathryn Adams for the sixth. Bloxwich hit back with two goals of their own but Kathryn Adams sealed the win with an easy tap in following a good run from Claire Miles. League POM Claire Miles Team POM Kathryn Adams |
