The ladies thirds kept up their 100% record with another dominant display on Saturday beating Stone 7-1. The town side started in positive fashion with the midfield passing the ball around superbly, Claire Miles set up Di Milner for two goals before Kate Barton and Miles herself scored twice to give the side a comanding 5-0 lead. Stone scored their only goal of the game late in the half when a poor pass from Claire Miles was intercepted to give the Stone forward a clear run on goal and she coolly slotted home past the advancing keeper. Sam Bowyer and Anne Marshall crearted all sorts of problems for the stone defence down the right flank creating a number of opportunities in the second half, with Stone defending in numbers Tamworth didnt enjoy the amount of time and space they had in the first half and were only able to add two more goals to their tally. Anne Marshall scored a fine individual goal before Claire Miles completed her hat-trick following good work from Alex Gayton.
