Match Report | The Ladies third team made a dream start to their league campaign with a dominant performance thrashing Dudley 9-0 on Saturday. With Dudley only able to field 10 players Tamworth took full advantage of their extra player and space. The town’s build up play was excellent with Anne Marshall, Bethan Gilbert and Sarah Price combining well down the right flank creating a number of opportunities. Dudley’s keeper made a number of superb saves before the side opened the scoring with Di Milner hitting a quick fire hat- trick and Claire Miles adding a fourth to give Tamworth a 4-0 half time lead. Tamworth continued to dominate the proceedings with goalkeeper Margaret Worsley only called into action a couple of times, Lou Collett had an excellent game in midfield and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet herself, Claire Miles hit a second half hat-trick with Wendy Garrett scoring the other.
