Match Report | The ladies firsts suffered a disappointing result on Saturday as they lost their first game in four matches to Cannock. It was Tamworth who made the early breakthrough scoring after only 3 minutes a swift counter attack saw the ball played through to Danielle Hill who smashed the ball home, but the towns lead was short lived as a poor period of play from the home side saw them concede 4 quick goals. Tara Wylie made some super runs from midfield causing the Cannock defense lots of problems but the town side were unable to capitalise on chances created. The second session was much more competitive, defensively the town were more solid and they played some nice hockey at times but they were unable to add to their score, Claire Miles hit the post and should have done better with an effort following good work from Kirsty Brown, but the damage was done in the first half with Cannock taking all three points.
