| Match Report | Tamworth Mens 2nds were well beaten by Bloxwich 3’s away this weekend. A very messy game, with umpires centre of attention through a scruffy first half. Bloxwich struck 1st with a very clever deflected goal from a shot outside the D, Simon Bowyer with a superb through ball to Jez Holloway who hit a wonder strike into the new near side from the top of the D to make it 1-1. Bloxwich soon struck back and finished a neat move to make it 2-1 at half time.
Ethan Oxley making several saves throughout the game was left helpless as Bloxwich continued to press and were soon 5-1 ahead. After being reduced to 10 men, Tamworth rallied and Cam Hancox scored a neat reverse flick into the top corner to finish the scoring and Tamworth suffering a heavy 5-2 defeat. |
