Tamworth Ladies Thirds Vs Phoenix Blues 1

The team started strongly against Phoenix Blues  in the sunshine. There was lots of passing and team play, and the team were unlucky not to get shots past the keeper in the first half.

At half time the team were down 1-0 and the final score of 4-0 did not reflect the high standard of play from the club.

Lisa Moore in goal made some great saves, otherwise the score would have been higher. The younger players, Jess Thacker, Hannah Marshall and Beth Wright all played a really great game and remained strong throughout, and player of the match was Fiona Sinclair, who was great at holding them back in the midfield.

So a disappointing start to the season, but we played really well together as a team and enjoyed being back on the pitch getting game time.
