| Match Report | This week the ladies seconds had a double header league weekend with games against Leek and Tamworth thirds. On Saturday the town side travelled to Leek and we're disappointed to not come away with a share of the spoils losing out 2-0. Leek just edged possession in the first half although they rarely troubled GK Lisa Moore, with the towns defence Clare Phillips, Sam bowyer and Jane escombe all making excellent tackles and clearances. It was late in the half when leek took the lead Lisa Moore saved the initial shot but the ball fell kindly to the attacker to slot home. The second session saw Tamworth dominate with youngsters Beth Wright and Hannah Marshall combining superbly creating a number of opportunities with the leek GK making some great saves to keep their lead intact. A well worked breakaway attack saw leek increase their lead. And although Tamworth pinned leek back for the last 15 minutes they couldn't make the breakthrough, Becky Moore and Beth Wright both saw shots brilliantly saved as leek held onto the win.
