The town side continued to press forward looking for more goals as their midfield dominated possession Tilly Bryan had an excellent game as she combined well with with Foxley, Jo Goode and Beth Wright. But a break in the game for a head injury disrupted the play and the town side took a while to regain their composure, and after 24 minutes Fiona Sinclair scored Tamworth's second, Claire Miles the added a third on the stroke of half time to send the town into the break 3-0 up. The second session was once again dominated by Tamworth, although a number of short corner opportunities were squandered, the town scored two in a minute, first Danielle Hill with a deft reversed stick flick, then from the restart Tamworth won the ball back, with a super move down the right flank and although the ball hit a defenders foot in the 'D' great advantage was played as the ball fell to Fiona Sinclair to slot home. Tamworth's sixth goal came from the penalty spot when Sinclair's shot was stopped illegally on the line, Miles stepped up to convert and the town ran out comfortable winners. PoM Tilly Bryan |
