Match Report | The ladies seconds suffered a heartbreaking third loss of the season against top of the table Phoenix Blues on Saturday, in a game that the town side dominated for long periods, a number of crucial plays went against them with phoenix blues scoring in the final five minutes to secure the win. Tamworth started the game brightly stringing passes together and putting phoenix blues under immediate pressure, the only thing missing was the finish, with a number of short corners and chances going begging. The town side were then caught out as they conceded from phoenix blues first attack of the game. Tamworth continued to press forward and were finally rewarded with a goal, Paula Cooper's initial short corner strike was saved but Danielle Hill reacted quickest to slot home the rebound to draw the sides level at the break. Tamworth continued to enjoy plenty of possession during the second session and took the lead when Danielle Hill crossed for Hannah Marshall to hit home. Phoenix blues equalised with a selected shot then scored the winner five minutes from time.
