Match Report | Tamworth faced a tough challenge this week in 3rd Place Telford & Wrekin.
The game started quickly with Tamworth controlling the play and playing some tight possession passing. Unfortunately they were dispossessed and Telford pushed forward to take the lead.
Tamworth fought back hard and following some precision passing from Ian Wagstaff, Ollie Gilbert managed to slot a calm finish past the keeper to bring he score level.
Despite further pressure from Tamworth and several chances, they were unable to capitalise on the opportunity. Following this Telford broke against the run of play and unfortunately scored a 2nd to make the scores 2-1.

The second half began with continued pressure from Telford which really stretched the defence of Tamworth. The defence was able to hold out and following some strong defensive work by Joe Wood and skillful goalkeeping by James Miles. Tamworth managed to keep Telford at bay, despite suffering 3 sending off in quick succession.
The game ended with no further goals as Tamworth endured a barrage of attacks from the Telford strikers.
