Match Report | Tamworth ladies seconds fought back from 2-0 down to claim a share of the spoils against Leek on Saturday. Leek started really well putting Tamworth under immediate pressure with the town defence of Paula Cooper, Sarah Hutchins and Jess Thacker making a number of excellent tackles and interceptions, GK Lisa Moore also make some good saves, but pressure finally told when Leek took the lead from a short corner. The town side settled and started to enjoy some possession with Danielle Hill going close to equalising for Tamworth but they went into the break 1-0 down. The second session saw the town side play some good hockey as their midfield started to impose themselves on the game, but it was Leek who increased their lead with another short corner strike. To the town's credit they continued to push forward and from a well worked short corner of their own Hannah Channing pulled a goal back. With Tamworth now on the front foot they pressed for an equaliser, they had two efforts disallowed for earlier infringements before Channing scored hers and Tamworth's second with a brilliantly taken deflection from Claire Miles cross.
