Match Report | phoenix blues took the lead, Tamworth settled to dominate the play, their midfield quartet passed the ball around with confidence ably supported by wing backs Paula cooper and Fiona Wylie who linked well with Beth Wright and Hannah Channing down the flanks. An excellent cross from Kirsty Brown found Becca Warburton at the far post to equalise for the town side, Hannah Channing then gave Tamworth the lead from a well worked short corner routine to go into the break 2-1 up. The second half continued to see Tamworth dominate possession limiting phoenix blues to breakaway attacks but Sarah Hutchins made a number of good tackles to keep them at bay. The town side added a third when Fiona Wylie, Claire Miles and Danielle Hill combined well to set up Kirsty Brown. Phoenix blues did score a second and enjoyed a bit of pressure with a couple of short corners but GK Lisa Moore kept her concentration making a couple of vital saves and the town secured the 3points.
