Tamworth spent the first half of the game in defence mode as north staffs pressed hard. Claire Phillips Sarah Hutchins and Paula Cooper held strong with keeper Chloe Sullivan making some key saves to maintain a clean sheet at half time. Skipper Kirsty brown changed the formation in the second half and Tamworth started to pass the ball with skill and determination. Hannah channing had an excellent game in midfield spreading the ball around well to Bethany Wright, becca warburton , Jess Bryant and Tilly Bryan all who battled strongly. Danielle Hill worked hard up front playing with passion. Tamworth were defending deeply when Hutchins hit the ball out quickly from the D and Tamworth found themselves in front of the goal after some excellent passing. Warburton made a shot that rebounded off the keeper to Fiona sinclair who passed the ball back to warburton for her to chip it into the net to open the scoring for Tamworth. North staffs keep pressing and despite Sullivan making a number of crucial saves they eventually scored with 10 minutes to go making the final score one all. Channing was deservedly player of the match
