Match Report | Tamworth seconds and Phoenix Blues took part in an eight goal thriller as they shared the spoils on Saturday The town side started well with Jacqui Casey scoring from a short corner early on. Clare Phillips picked the tackles in defence stopping the blues attacks with strength. They did find a way through though scoring two in quick succession despite some strong Tamworth play using the full pitch. Danielle Hill finishing from a Elaine foxley cross made the scores level going into the break. Blues scored again from a penalty flick but Tamworth kept running and a great Beth Wright Elaine foxley combination resulted in Tamworth levelling again. Tamworth then took the lead after Claire miles and Danielle hill combined with hill diving full length to put the ball across the line. A scramble in the Tamworth goal with 3 minutes to go saw blues equalise to make the final score 4 all. league player of the match was Clare Philips |
