The first game of the weekend saw Tamworth travel to Bromsgrove. After Tamworth’s first loss last week since before Christmas they were determined to not let it become a regular thing. The game started off at a high pace with Bromsgrove working hard for each other & performing well as a team. They opened the scoring which caused Tamworth to wake up. It wasn’t long until Tamworth got level after a well battled run down the right from Tara Wylie which resulted in Gemma Rowe hitting one home. This didn’t trouble Bromsgrove & they continued to play the better hockey & this was rewarded as they saw themselves 3-1 up at half time. After a reset Tamworth went into the second half playing a lot better as a team & working hard for each other on & off the ball. The hard work finally played off after a hard ball into the D saw Stevie Williams do an amazing deflection into the goal. Even though both teams continued to battle the score remained at 3-2 with Tamworth needing to dust off & move on for their rearranged game against Uni of Notts on Sunday.
