Match Report | Tamworth started well passing across the pitch and working hard in all areas. Lucy plant made some excellent runs on the left with bea pound doing the same on the right. Rebecca warburton ran tirelessly up front and got herself into some good positions. A flowing passing move culminated in a strong pass into the D to warburton who passed the ball across to Fiona fergusson who scored from short range. Despite getting themselves into good positions Tamworth couldn’t capitalise on their lead, Claire miles, Jacqui Casey and Kirsty brown tried to create opportunities but the finish was lacking. An excellent individual run by an Aldridge and Walsall player saw a late first half goal to make the score one all at half time. Both defences held strong in the second half with keeper Nikki Youngman making a vital diving save to make sure the final score was a draw. Miles was voted league player with warburton winning players player |
