Match Report | The ladies seconds good run of form continued on Saturday as they beat Streetly 5-0 to keep them in the promotion hunt. Tamworth started brightly and dominated possession from the off, creating numerous opportunities, Bea Pound went close on a couple of occasions and the Streetly GK pulled off a number of excellent saves to keep the scores level. The town side finally made the breakthrough late in the half with a Claire Miles strike to go into the break a goal to the good. Tamworth made the best possible start to the second session scoring twice within the opening five minutes, Claire Miles scored her second of the game as she followed up her own shot to slot home and Bea Pound made it 3-0 following an excellent cross from Elaine Foxley. The towns defence were rarely troubled but Sarah Hutchins, Leah Ward and Lucy Plant made some important tackles when called upon to thwart any Streetly attack. Jo Goode, Elaine Foxley and Kirsty Brown combined well in midfield as Tamworth continued to dominate play Jacqui Casey added a fourth with Elaine Foxley completing the rout.
