Match Report | Tamworth Men's First XI were soundly beaten 9-0 at home to Bromsgrove as they put up little fight in their relegation battle. Facing top of the league Tamworth actually started quite brightly with Tom Hancox going close with a deft deflected effort which was pushed wide by the keeper. Bromsgrove however showed why they are top of the league with two goals from well worked penalty corner routines. They added a third from open play before the break having dominated possession with Tamworth rarely able to mount attacks. The second half was an even worse affair for Town as they were pinned back with just a solitary penalty corner to show for their efforts. Bromsgrove piled on the goals taking advantage of Tamworth's disorganisation in the closing stages as they lost players to injury and the sin bin to add to their woes. Tamworth travel to Shrewsbury next week 4 points adrift with 4 to play. |
