Match Report | Tamworth took a much changed team for the away game at Stone. The game started quite evenly with both teams passing the ball nicely. The deadlock was broken when Tamworth were caught out by a quick break from Stone with a great cross and fast shot to finish. The town side keep their heads up and shortly after a great cross from Elaine Foxley was tapped in a the far post by Chris Mander, the score remained 1-1 going into the break. Stone started the second session strongly but the Tamworth defence held firm, with youngsters Jess Bryant, Jess Thacker, Hannah Roberts and Meg Hogben combining well alongside Sam Bowyer and Elaine Foxley to create chances but unfortunately no of these were converted. Sam Bowyer came closest to adding to the towns score with a cracking strike from a short corner that went just wide. With the bare eleven players Tamworth began to tire as Stone rotated their players well converting two more times to win 3-1. League POM Elaine Foxley Team POM Jess Bryant
