Tamworth were determined to get back into winning ways after the defeat against Repton but were expecting a tough fight against Lichfield Tamworth started off with confidence passing the ball around well and creating good space. Midlfielders Charley Rowe and Jess barker working well with the forward trio of steph Wagstaff Stevie Williams and Gemma Rowe. The first goal came within the first quarter through open play where Gemma Rowe reversed sticked into the bottom right corner. The second goal followed shortly after where Gemma found Jess barker on the back post who slotted it home. Tamworth continued their attack and Steph Wagstaff made it 3-0 at half time. The second half saw Connie wain our gk get a yellow card for having a 1-1 on with a Lichfield attacker she took the ball but her momentum carrying her to take the attacker down a penalty stroke was awarded but with Connie off the field sarah Arnold put on her face mask and stood in for the flick. The flick was put wide. Tamworth regained possession and the ball was passed around well between Becky Moore Sarah Arnold Rachel Rowe and Anna Kempster. The fourth goal was scored by Gemma Rowe.
