Match Report | Tamworth started their season well with a hard fought draw over local team atherstone this week building up to next weeks league opener. Skipper Kirsty brown led with passion and drive running endlessly throughout the game as did youngster Nadia Williams whose turn of speed was impressive. The defence held strong against the skilful atherstone forwards spoiling all attempts on goal. New players Emma Johnson and Leah ward both had excellent games with with great positioning and skill on the ball. Youngsters becca warburton and Sophie Marshall both has solid games and Lucy plant ran herself into the ground overwhelming the atherstone midfield. Unlucky not to convert their chances Tamworth will look forward to their first league outing next week. > |
