Tamworth Ladies Thirds Vs Erdington

The ladies thirds returned to league action in style on Saturday as they thrashed Erdington 9-0.  Tamworth were very positive from the start as Erdington failed to cope with the towns movement and quick passing.  Di Milner opened the scoring following some great play from Lou Collett and Anne Marshall down the right flank.  The town continued to dominate the play scoring three more times through Elaine Foxley, Claire Miles and an own goal to go into the break 4-0 up.

The second half followed the same pattern as the first with the town side enjoying the majority of the possession and any rare Erdington attack was easily dealt with by Tamworth's back four of Issy Hounsome, Linda Harrison, Kate Caddick and Chris Mander along with stand-in keeeper Lisa Moore who was excellent.  Di Milner scored a superb second half hat-trick with Elaine Foxley and Claire Miles both getting their second of the game to give the town their best win of the season and move them up to second in the table.

This was a fantastic team performance from the thirds with fine individual performances from Lou Collett, Di Milner, league POM Elaine Foxley and especially youngster Issy Hounsome who had a great game at right back and was voted team POM.
