Match Report | Abbotsholme. Tamworth found themselves under pressure from the off as Abbotsholme enjoyed the majority of possession but their defensive trio of Audrey Warburton, Sam Bowyer and Vicky Sanford defended superbly with Lisa Moore in goal also in top form. Once the town settled they put some good moves together creating a couple of goal scoring opportunities but their opponents took the lead to go into the break 1-0 ahead. The second session was a similar pattern to the first with Tamworth withstanding long periods of pressure and counter attacking, Rebecca Warburton and Tilly Bryan using their The ladies thirds final game of the season saw them travel to already crowned champions pace down the flanks to great effect, Tilly Bryan was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions. Once again the pressure told as Abbotsholme increased their lead but to Tamworth’s credit they kept going and scored a late consolation goal Di Milner picking up a cross from Claire Miles to slot home. Another great season with the ladies finishing fourth in the table. League POM Tilly Bryan Team POM Sam Bowyer |
