Match Report | The ladies thirds final home game of the season saw them lose out 1-0 to second placed Streetly who had beaten them 6-0 earlier in the season. Tamworth started well with some great passing, an evenly contested first half saw both sides create chances but the score remained level at the break. The town side continued to play well in the second half but it was Streetly who took the lead from a well worked short corner. Tamworth continued to press forward looking for an equaliser with Di Milner going close her shot just shaving the post, Bev Alesbrook, Sheri Allsop and Sandi Jorissen stepped up from the fourth team all had excellent games, but Tamworth were left disappointed as they couldn’t find that all important equaliser their play deserved. In their final game of the season Tamworth face top of the table Abbotsholme as they look to secure third place in the league. League POM Elaine Foxley |
