Tamworth Ladies Thirds Vs Bloxwich 3s

A last gasp equaliser secured a valuable point for Tamworth ladies third team on Saturday keeping them in third spot in the table.  The town side made a slow start to the game as they struggled to maintain any decent possession which Bloxwich took full advantage of scoring twice in the first 15 minutes.  A reshuffle and change of shape the town side began to settle and enjoy more of the play creating a number of chances that were unfortunately squandered.

Tamworth fared much better in the second half as they came out with more determination and they started to dominate possession, Rebecca Warburton and Tilly Bryan worked really hard down the flanks with Hannah Roberts and Elaine Foxley both having good opportunities to score before a stunning short corner strike from Di Milner pulled a goal back. With only seconds left and it looking like Tamworth would rue all the missed chances a quick 16 hit out from Di Milner found Tilly Bryan in space she drove down the right playing a number of one-two with Elaine Foxley before setting up Foxley to slot home with the last hit of the game to give the town a thoroughly deserved share of the spoils.
