Tamworth started well with Paula cooper, Becky moore and Lucy plant combining well on the left moving the ball around and opening up opportunities for forwards Kirsty Wright and Alex Gayton to run on to. Gemma Bradshaw was strong on the middle with Jacqui Casey distributing the ball well. Youngsters Sophie Marshall and meg hogben battled well on the right but Tamworth couldn’t break through and it was no score at half time. Early in the second half Tamworth won a short corner and Bradshaw smashed the ball home from the top of the D to break the deadlock. Gayton ran well in the middle and came close to scoring. A second followed towards the end of the game with a scramble in the D that saw Wright score from a yard out. League player was Casey and team player was shared between Bradshaw and plant.
