Tamworth failed to find the form of their previous games in this local derby. Lichfield went ahead early and then a second followed quickly. Claire miles, Jacqui Casey and Lucy plant combined well in the middle and fed the ball through to forwards Kirsty Wright and Eden Collier who covered the pitch well in a bid to open up the Lichfield defence. Youngsters Sophie Marshall and meg hogben worked well on the right but Tamworth failed to break through. Shortly after half time Tamworth scored after a well worked short corner that saw Gemma Bradshaw hit the ball to miles who fired the bell into the back of the net. Lichfield scored immediately from the restart and then went on to seal the game with a fourth. Miles was leaguer player of the match with Casey winning team player.
