Match Report | Tamworth didn’t start well and were behind after a good strike from wats 10 minutes in. Claire miles and Jackie Casey played well together in the centre and Amie bishop and Fiona jones made excellent runs up front. Tamworth equalised at a short corner. Casey intercepted the rebound passing to bishop who slotted the ball hone.
Keeper Nicky Youngman made some excellent saves throughout the game and Tamworth went ahead when bishop fed the ball through to jones who hammered the ball into the back of the net.
Gemma Bradshaw had a great game in central defence but couldn’t prevent wats equalising, Tamworth came close getting the winner with to Becky moore made a great run from midfield powering through a couple of tackles and shooting just wide of the post.
Final score 2 all. Miles was league player of the match with Amie bishop club player. |
