Match Report | Tamworth 3s hosted Leek 4s on Saturday. The town side started the game brightly and some great passing moves involving all the midfielders and attackers resulted in many chances being created. The Leek GK had a fantastic game keeping her team in it with a string of saves. Tamworth pressured the Leek defence for virtually all of the first half, winning many short corners, but none of the chances could be converted until Di Milner broke the deadlock with a great strike. Leek had a good chance to equalise just before the end of the first half, but the town GK and Sam Bowyer in defence managed to keep them out and the score at half time remained 1-0. The second half continued in the same vein with Tamworth creating many chances but being denied each time by the Leek GK and defence. Leek had a few chances on the break but were unable to convert them. The final score was a 1-0 win for Tamworth. A great team effort.
