Match Report | The ladies thirds had another trip to Leek on Saturday coming away with a share of the spoils. Tamworth made a bright start to the game passing the ball around nicely with Bea Kinahan and Nadia Williams combining well down the right flank but the towns forwards were thwarted by the Leek keeper who was in excellent form as she made a number of impressive saves. As the half went on Leek enjoyed more possession and Tamworth were indebted to their own keeper Lisa Moore who also made a number of excellent saves and with the game looking like going into the break all square the town made a breakthrough Di Milner scoring with last hit of the half. The second session was again evenly contested and once again Tamworth were unable to add to their score with Claire Miles, Elaine Foxley and Di Milner all going close, but late on in the half Leek equalised. Sandy Jorissen made an excellent debut for the third team and Nadia Williams was voted League POM. |
