The game was won from midfield with Jackie Casey, Lucy Plant and Becky Moore working well together across the pitch. Amie Bishop and Kirsty Wright ran tirelessly up front and Bishop scored from a pass from Fiona Jones to break the deadlock after 20 minutes. Bishop scored a second not long into the second half after a great weaving run by Claire Miles through the defence. Youngsters Sophie Marshall and Meg Hogben both had excellent games with Hogben narrowly shooting wide after a strong run. Miles scored Tamworth’s third with a straight strike from a short corner and Jones played a trick shot through her legs for the fourth. Jones was voted league player with Plant winning club player.
