Tamworth Ladies Seconds Vs North Staffs 2's

Tamworth started brightly, passing the ball quickly and well.  Aimee bishop ran well across the pitch causing problems for the north staffs defence. Against the run of play North staffs broke away and were one on one with the keeper.  The attacker went around the Tamworth keeper and despite Sarah Hutchins diving across the goal She couldn’t prevent north staffs opening the scoring.   Tamworth fought back and a great passing move started on the right with excellent fast passing saw Kirsty Wright cross into the d to find Harriet Gilman unmarked who slotted the ball home to equalise.  

Both teams had chances in the second half and north staffs pressed hard but Becky moore  and meg hogben ran hard throughout the half and Jacqui Casey and Gemma wheelhouse spoilt many north staffs moves with strong tackling.  Youngster Sophie Marshall had a good game in defence and is growing in confidence every week.  A fair result at the end of the game with honours even.  Wheelhouse was league player of the match with hogben named as club player.
