Match Report | A close fought game saw Tamworth defending well in the first half. Pressure from blues saw Tamworth keeper Nicky Youngman pull off a string of fantastic saves Aimee bishop and Kirsty Wright ran well across the pitch and mum / daughter combination Jackie Casey and Eden Collier combined well in the middle. In the second half Tamworth picked the pace up and created chances. Harriet gilman found herself in space in the D and was found by a great ball from defender Becky Moore, who had a great game, but the keeper saved. Blues scored from a well worked short corner and Tamworth came close from a short corner fired in by Paula Cooper to Kirsty Wright running to the post but again Tamworth were denied by the keeper. Youngman was awarded both league and club player of the game. |
