Tamworth Ladies Thirds Vs Stafford 3's

The ladies thirds kicked off their league campaign in style on Saturday with a 7-1 win against Stafford, with Claire Miles scoring four goals and Di Milner three to secure all three points for the town side.  Tamworth started in positive fashion keeping possession and moving the ball around nicely and their dominance was rewarded as they hit three goals in quick succession Di Milner opened the scoring with Claire Miles adding two more, Miles completed her hat trick just before half time to send the home side into the break with a commanding lead.

All credit to Stafford who came out fighting in the second half as they enjoyed a good spell of possession but the town defence held firm with Vicky Sanford having a brilliant game at right back making a number of super tackles and clearances, youngsters Emily Barker and Hannah Roberts both impressed with their performances and had a hand in setting up more goals for the home side, Milner completed her hat trick before Stafford scored a consolation goal and Miles completed the rout with her fourth of the game from a short corner.
