A goal in each half gave Tamworth the best start possible to their league campaign. 10 minutes in A good ball out of defence from Paula Cooper to Jacqui Casey who passed to her daughter Eden Collier who fed the ball to Anne Marshall who crossed to new player Fiona jones who slotted the ball home to open the scoring. Tamworth created lots of chances but didn’t capitalise on their play until the second half when meg hogben scored after battling her way through a couple of tackles in the D. Collier and hogben both had excellent games as did youngster Sophie Marshall and Georgia Cortese who was also playing her first game for the club. League player of the game was Collier with cortese getting club player.
