Tamworth Ladies Firsts Vs Rugby & East Warwicks

Tamworth were defeated by top of the league Rugby.  Tamworth were under pressure from the start and rugby took an early lead.  Tamworth settled into the restart and had some good periods of possession, Charley Rowe had a fantastic game in centre of midfield working tirelessly and we were unlucky not to equalise.  Rugby kept the pressure on and scored their second just before half time.  Rugby scored twice more before Gemma Rowe received the ball at the p spot, rolled out and struck the ball neatly into the bottom left corner.  Tamworth battled through to the end working hard for each other and remained positive  and had a couple of chances to add to the tally but Rugby were a well drilled, young team and attacked in numbers to convert two further goals.
