Match Report | What a victory! Tamworth came back from 2-0 down to a deserved win and a hat trick from captain Gemma Rowe. Worcester dominated the first quarter of the game with Tamworth being stretched and by over committing Worcester scored their first goal and within 5 minutes they were awarded a penalty flick which put them 2-0 up within 15 minutes. Tamworth regrouped and started playing their game, working hard for each other and the determination paid off with a couple of short corners being awarded and both put away by Gemma. We went in to half time 2-2. Tamworth started the second half with confidence and passed the ball around well and kept possession which frustrated Worcester but we kept the pressure on. Worcester had one attack in the second half which resulted in a penalty flick being awarded but goalie Nicky Youngman saved it. Tamworth continued pressurising Worcesters defence and had a few more short corner opportunities from which the third goal came from. The team are getting used to a new formation and have areas that need improving on but team morale and determination to work hard for each other paid off in this game.
