Tamworth lost for the first time this season in a tight game against an experienced Wolverhampton team. Keeper Vikki Butler made a number of excellent stops throughout the game as the game went end to end without a breakthrough.
Youngsters Tara wylie, jess barker, meg hogben, Eden collier and Nadia williams all worked hard and moved well as a unit. Neither side could convert their short corners with Tamworth coming closest with a gemma wheelhouse Paula cooper combination that saw the keeper save with her body. A draw looked likely but a late wolves break saw a ball hit hard into the circle that came off coopers ankle to an unmarked attacker who slotted home to nick a late winner. League player of the game was Eden collier.
