Match Report

Tamworth's excellent start to the season continued in this top of the table clash. Gemma wheelhouse opened the scoring with a well placed strike from the top of the circle.  Youngsters Tara wylie, jess barker, Eden collier and meg hogben all played strongly with wylie bossing the midfield. Fiona wylie worked hard all game and scored a great goal following a rebounded shot from Harriet Gilman.  2 nil at half time the Tamworth keeper hadn't made a save. Sarah Hutchins, Jackie Casey and Paula cooper all had solid games in defence and all passed the ball well out to the midfield. Such a move involving Hutchins, cooper, and Tara wylie moved the ball the whole length of the pitch and resulted in Anne Marshall finding the net to make it 3 nil. Another great move from the back started by Casey, with a great swerving run by Tara wylie bagged Marshall her second and Tamworth's fourth.  Cannock snatched a consolation goal following a mistake by cooper leaving the final score 4 1, Tamworth still unbeaten after 4 games.  League and club player of the game was Tara wylie.
