Match Report | The ladies thirds ran out convincing winners in this friendly match against Bloxwich on Saturday. Tamworth dominated possession from the start, with 13 year old Katie Garrett making an impressive debut, combining well with Tara Wylie and Jo Cliffe down the right flank creating many goal scoring opportunities for the town side. Jo Cliffe opened the scoring with Gemma Wheelhouse, Claire Miles and Elaine Foxley also getting on the score sheet to go into the break 4-0 up. The second half followed the same pattern as the first with Tamworth dominating possession with Emily Barker having another impressive game in midfield. Bloxwich did mount a few attacks of their own but the towns defence held firm, and more goals followed for the town side Elaine Foxley and Claire Miles both got their second of the game with Sam Bowyer and Kate Caddick completing the rout. Emily Barker was voted player of the match.
