Match Report | The ladies thirds continued their recent good form with a well-deserved 4-2 win over Stone on Saturday. Tamworth started positively with their midfield controlling the play, a strong run from Claire Miles set up Elaine Foxley to slot home to give the town side the lead, Miles then added a second from a short corner strike. Stone pulled a goal back later in the half when a cross found an unmarked player at the back post for an easy tap in. The second half was a more open affair with both sides creating opportunities; but it was Tamworth who struck first restoring their two goal lead when Kate Caddick made a brilliant interception before passing the ball to Tilly Bryan who in turn found Elaine Foxley in the ‘D’ to score her second of the game. Stone hit back with a super strike of their own, and went on to enjoy a good spell of play and only some excellent defending kept them out. Di Milner then sealed the victory with a stunning strike in the last 5 minutes. League POM Nadia Williams Team POM Kate Caddick
