Match Report | The ladies thirds produced a dominant performance on Saturday against Stafford with a 4-0 win. Tamworth started brightly with their midfield dominating possession; Nadia Williams was a constant threat down the right flank linking well with Tilly Bryan. Claire Miles opened the scoring early on following some excellent interplay from Di Milner and Elaine Foxley. Tilly Bryan then set up Di Milner with an inch perfect cross leaving Milner with an easy tap in. The town side continued to control the play but were unable to add to their score going into the break 2-0 up. The second half continued in the same vein with Stafford struggling to get out of their own half, Jo Bryan combined well with Elaine Foxley setting up a number of chances but a combination of poor efforts from the town side and some good saves from Stafford’s keeper left the town frustrated at not being able to add to their score. Tamworth finally made the breakthrough when Claire Miles got her second of the game as she followed up her own shot, Di Milner then got her second with a stunning shot from the top of the ‘D’ giving the keeper no chance and securing three valuable points for the town side.
