Match Report | The ladies thirds faced a strong North Staffs side on Saturday losing 3-0. North Staffs started the brighter of the two teams forcing Tamworth back from the off as the home side struggled to get a foothold in the game. Lesley Broadway, Sam Bowyer, Sian Barrett and Sophie Marshall all made a number of excellent tackles and clearances to keep North Staffs at bay but it was the heroics of goal keeper Margaret Worsley who saved the town side again and again keeping the scores level at half time. North Staffs pressure finally told as they scored three times in quick succession early in the second half and although the town side enjoyed more possession not too many clear cut chances were created, Tilly Bryan worked really hard in attack and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet when her effort was well saved, and North Staffs ran out worthy winners.
