| Match Report | Tamworth suffered a major setback in the quest for promotion after a 4-0 defeat away at Market Drayton. The home side started stronger and capitalised when they took the lead with two goals from short corners. With James Goode also sent to the sin bin Tamworth fell further behind, this time Market Drayton broke away twice and beat Pipe in goal one-on-one.
Tamworth managed to stem the tide in the second half and had two strong appeals for penalty flicks turned down but they were unable to make a significant challenge on Market Drayton who ran out convincing winners. |
